Your videos stay yours.
Prismframes is run by the person who runs this site. You can write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
What we never see
The studio works inside your browser, on your own computer. Your clips, songs, captions and exports are opened and rendered there. They are never uploaded, and nothing about them is sent to us.
What we collect
- Your account. You only need one to export. When you sign in, for the first time or any time after, we store your email address, the date the account was made, your plan (free, for everyone for now) and a scrambled version of your IP address from the day you signed up, which cannot be turned back into the address. Signing in with Google gives us your email address and your Google account's ID number, nothing else (no contacts, no files, no password; we never see your Google password). Signing in by email link stores a one-time code for the link, which stops working after 15 minutes or when it is used. While you are signed in your browser keeps a cookie that holds a random code, and we keep a scrambled copy of it so we can recognise you. It lasts 30 days and is removed when you sign out.
- The waitlist. If you join, we store your email address, the optional line about what you would make with it, the date, which page you joined from (the site or the studio) and the country your request came from. To keep bots and repeat sign-ups out, we also keep a scrambled version of your IP address that cannot be turned back into the address.
- Visit counts. If switched on, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits and a few simple actions, like opening the studio or finishing an export. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you.
- Free exports. The free plan allows 2 exports a week (it resets on Monday), counted on our server so that clearing your browser does not reset them. For each export we store the date and time, whether it finished, a random id our server gives your browser (kept in a cookie that lasts two years and in your browser's storage, used only for this count), and a scrambled version of your IP address. We never store file names or anything about the video. We keep these rows for up to eight weeks. If you delete your account, the rows stay without your account attached, so the count can't be reset by deleting and signing up again.
- Nothing else. No advertising and no trackers. The account and the waitlist are separate lists: being on one does not put you on the other, and the waitlist email is never used to make an account.
What we use it for
Your account email is used to sign you in and to send you the sign-in link when you ask for one. We do not send you newsletters or marketing from it. The waitlist email is used to tell you about the launch of Pro, and nothing else. We do not sell either one or share them. The scrambled IP address is used only to stop abuse, for example to stop one person making many accounts to get around the limit on free exports. The counts help us see which tools people use.
Who handles the data
This site, the accounts and the waitlist run on Cloudflare, which hosts the pages and stores the data. Sign-in links are sent by Resend, an email service, which sees your email address and the message we send. If you choose Continue with Google, Google knows you signed in to this site. Cloudflare's, Resend's and Google's own privacy terms apply to what they do.
Other servers the studio talks to
To work, the studio loads a few things from other places: code libraries from jsDelivr, title fonts from Google Fonts, Google's sign-in button and Cloudflare's bot check when you open the sign-in box and, if you use Subtitles, a speech model from Hugging Face (downloaded once and kept in your browser). Those servers see your IP address and browser details, as any website would. They never see your footage.
Your data in your browser
The studio keeps your project, your saved looks and your settings in your own browser storage so they are there when you come back. That data lives on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Getting out
To delete your account, sign in, open the circle with your initial at the top right and choose Delete my account. Your email address, your sign-ins and everything else we kept about the account are removed from our database right away, and you are signed out on every device. Nothing needs to be sent to us. If you can no longer sign in, write to [email protected] from the address of the account and we will delete it for you. To sign out without deleting, choose Sign out in the same menu.
To be taken off the waitlist and have your email deleted, write to [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We will delete it and tell you when it is done. The same goes for any question about your data.
